GEO Pre-departure Orientation for all students going abroad after the current semester.
Join us for Pre-departure Orientation!
This event is designed to equip you with the tools, tips, and connections you’ll need to make the most of your study abroad experience.

📅 Saturday, April 25, 2026
🕙 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Check-in open at 9:15 AM - 45 minutes prior to start)*
📍 JC Dewberry Hall
* additional breakout sessions may have been scheduled for your program following the main event
What to Expect
- Health and Safety Presentation
- Interactive Activities and Prizes
- Panel Discussion with study abroad alumni
- Breakout Sessions tailored to your destination or program
- Complimentary food and drinks included!
Check-in Process
- Approach the tables in JC Dewberry Hall Lobby.
- Find the section with the first letter of your LAST NAME.
- Receive an event passport, which contains the event outline and the GEO emergency contact number.
- Pick up your name tag containing your table number and name of program inside Dewberry Hall.
- Proceed to your assigned table location and seat.
