Build Your Own Internship: Location of Your Choice
Not seeing an internship for you below? If you have a very specific internship placement in mind or are looking through our program list and not seeing your location of choice, you still have options! You can “Build Your Own Internship,” where you research and secure your own internship while working with the GEO office to receive relevant academic credit. Students are responsible for finding this internship, housing, and travel arrangements independently, which is what differs from the existing internship placement programs that GEO offers. All students will be charged in-state tuition for this program and receive a guaranteed $250-$1000 scholarship.

Bangkok, Thailand with World Endeavors
Urban Planning Internship:
Work in governmental agencies or businesses assisting with projects related to growth and capacity, community building, and urban revitalization.
Architecture and Landscaping Internship:
Work in architectural firms and assist professionals with a wide range of projects at various stages of design and construction.
Berlin, Germany with CIEE
Architecture or Interior Design Firm Internship:
Intern at an architecture or interior designer firm, focused on project support and administration.
Studio Internship:
Work at a design studio/agency to support product design and creative projects portfolios.
Buenos Aires, Argentina with Road2Argentina
Architecture Studio Internship:
KLM is an architects' studio formed in 1997 by three Argentines. KLM develops a wide range of projects -- from individual homes to mixed-use buildings, hotels, cultural, corporate, institutional, urbanization and real estate developments both in Argentina and abroad. The studio has also won several international awards.
Real Estate and Architecture Internship:
Lone Lighthouse is a company of Argentine-Danish capital that offers a professional service in the real estate and architectural area. Its idea is to offer a professional service to small and medium-sized foreign investors from developed countries that would allow them to invest in the real estate market of developing countries, minimizing risk through orderly and transparent management.
Urban Planning Internship:
Urbanismo Vivo is a dynamic team that seeks to connect people with the environment where they live: they believe that active citizenship improves and enhances the quality of urban life, promoting friendly and inclusive cities. Through playful exercises and innovative methodologies, they carry out training, courses, events and consultancies on issues related to territorial planning, urban planning and citizen participation.
Florence, Italy with World Endeavors
Architecture Studio Internship:
Architecture studio focused on creating spaces for the life and wellbeing of people, and fully meeting the needs of each individual client. Services include concept and design, restorations and new construction, interior design and garden design.
London, UK with Anglo Educational Services
Architecture and Interior Design Internship:
Work at an architectural, interior and product design-based company. The intern can expect to get involved with residential projects, working on AutoCAD, 3D modeling and interior design.
Architecture and Hospitality Internship:
An architecture internship with a hospitality focused architecture/interior design firm. The intern can expect to work with their design team on differing projects, focusing on both hotels and residential projects, assisting with pitches for meetings and developing drawings.
Madrid, Spain with World Endeavors
Landscape Architecture Internship:
Landscape design studio dedicated to the design, execution and maintenance of gardens, striving to create sustainable spaces that add value to society and meet the needs of public and private clients.
Osaka, Japan with CRCC Asia
Design Internship:
Support the design and implementation process of building signage and sign design. Projects that are currently being worked on are expo sign designs and an international hotel group sign design system.
Paris, France with World Endeavors
Architecture Internship:
International architecture, town planning and interior firm that designs and delivers projects ranging from master plans to street furniture, including public or private offices, housing, facilities and shops mainly in France, but also in the United States, Spain, Morocco and Hungary. The focus is on building a harmonious relationship between architecture and planning, always considering the relationship with a project’s urban space. Interns participate in the development and translation of the portfolio, architectural and urban projects, and conduct thematic research in architecture and project presentation.

Architecture Internship:
Students can complete an architecture internship, which involves 3D visualization and animation rendering projects. Knowledge of Adobe suite, and Google ads suggested.

Architecture Firm Internship:
Intern with an architectural firm that designs buildings and spaces for both private and public entities.
Tokyo, Japan with CRCC Asia
Design Agency Internship:
Intern with a design agency that specializes in spatial design, Real Estate as a Service, and the experiences that people have with buildings.
