Build Your Own Internship: Location of Your Choice 

Not seeing an internship for you below? If you have a very specific internship placement in mind or are looking through our program list and not seeing your location of choice, you still have options! You can “Build Your Own Internship,” where you research and secure your own internship while working with the GEO office to receive relevant academic credit. Students are responsible for finding this internship, housing, and travel arrangements independently, which is what differs from the existing internship placement programs that GEO offers. All students will be charged in-state tuition for this program and receive a guaranteed $250-$1000 scholarship

Consultancy Internship: 
Intern with a small consultancy that offers guidance to the startup ecosystem on financial strategy and business model planning. 

Start-Up Internship: 
Intern with a fintech startup contributing to data analysis initiatives and pitch deck development for investment opportunities. 

 

Buenos Aires, Argentina with Road2Argentina 

 

Venture Capital Firm Internship: 
Cygnus is a venture capital firm with the mission to foster innovation and talent from Latin America to the world, by investing in early-stage equity of disruptive startups and scale-up companies. They provide entrepreneurs with early-stage funding and access to its network of entrepreneurs and co-working space in return for a stake in the recipient company. The team members have founded several startups and run successful businesses, as well as helped many tech companies to grow. 

Bitcoin Internship: 
Bitcoin Argentina is an NGO that promotes, since 2013, the understanding and exploitation of the technological potential represented by Blockchain and Bitcoin within Argentina and throughout Latin America. The organization has advised many political and financial entities and made more than 50 presentations. They organized a Hackaton and several members act as referents of the potential of this technology.

Commercial Firm Internship: 
Intern at a large or small commercial firm maintaining supplier and customer information on their accounting system. 

Company Internship: 
Support the finance team at an insurance or financial institution, processing supplier invoices and corresponding with customers and suppliers. 

 

 

Dublin, Ireland with World Endeavors

 

Professional Staffing Company Internship:

Professional staffing company with a wealth of experience in the Irish market. Interns focus on sales support, accounting, administration, and marketing functions, and also support the recruitment teams in the areas of HR, accounting, financial services, technology, business support, retail construction and marketing. Interns also support the recruitment process by sourcing, pre-screening, and scheduling potential clients, helping with interviews, assisting with LinkedIn advertisements, job posts and candidate management. 

 

 

Florence, Italy with World Endeavors

 

Import/Export Internship:

International shipping company focused on import and export services. Interns assist with invoice management, data checking, providing shipping advice, email correspondence and providing documentation, conducting translations, consolidating balance sheets, and accounting data entry.

 

 

London, UK with Anglo Educational Services 

 

Investment Banking Internship: 
A finance-based internship with an investment banking consultancy to privately owned businesses. Interns can expect to get involved with calculating capital, creating financial structures and solving calculations; as well as attending business breakfasts with clients. 

Consultancy Internship: 
An economics-based internship with a consultancy specializing in economic regulation, competition policy, and the application of economics to public and business policy issues. The intern can expect to get involved with desk research, stakeholder interviews and writing proposals.

 

 

Madrid, Spain with World Endeavors

 

Convention Center/Exhibition Internship:

Interns assist with data entry, conduct translations, assist with overall conference planning, collaborate on marketing campaigns, prepare reports, support exhibitors and inform them about all the services and resources available, allocate and assign stands to exhibitors, and assist with billing for service contracted by exhibitors.

 

Business Consulting and Marketing Internship: 

Assist Business team with support and general coordination of commercial portfolios, prepare policy documentation and buyer studies, record quotation details, assist with administrative duties and customer service, and update information systems.

 

 

Mumbai, India with CRCC Asia 

 

Consulting Internship: 
Support a financial consulting firm and its clients by working with teams that oversee loans, mutual funds, insurance, and banking.

 


Prague, Czech Republic with World Endeavors 

 

Finance Internship: 
Finance interns work in banks and in company finance departments assisting with research, financial analysis, reporting, preparation of financial documents, and administration. 

Finance Internship: 
Placements are available with companies specializing in payroll, insurance, and real estate. 

 

 

Quito, Ecuador with Universidad San Francisco de Quito 

 

Economics Internship: 
Students support the design and structure of an Introduction to Economics course for students in Galapagos. This includes gathering material, completing readings and collecting data to help structure PPT´s for course and problem sets. The intern should have completed approved economic courses, such as Introductory, Macro, and Microeconomics. 

 


Seoul, South Korea with CRCC Asia 

 

Start-Up Internship: 
Intern at fintech startup whose product provides an automatic order managing system (OMS) and easy payment to fashion businesses in South Korea. Duties may include supporting the business strategy team with research on foreign examples and cases, conduct site visits, meet our clients, effectively engage with other teams, and support day-to-day tasks to ensure overall performances. 

Finance Management Software Internship: 
Intern at a company offering personal finance management software that is able to analyze and manage the user's consumption and lifestyle. Expenditure is automatically recorded, analyzed and presented in infographic form, providing feedback backed by consumer sentiment experts as well as statistical data related to consumption. Duties may include supporting C-leadership with operational execution and product development, assisting with customer relationship as well as product development and quality maintenance, and effectively engaging with business and technical teams.

 


Singapore with CIEE 

 

Business Analysis Internship: 
Contribute to business analysis projects within an in-house finance department. 

Financial Services Internship: 
Intern with a small financial services consultancy on B2B business development initiatives. 

 

Sydney, Australia with World Endeavors

 

Property Group Internship: 

Interns have worked with a property group in Australia and worked with the accounting and finance team. Responsibilities have included financial accounting  administration tasks, a system improvement project, auditing and control procedures for hotels and long stay accommodation businesses, accounts payable duties, bank reconciliation, and payment application and accounts receivable duties. Interns also participate in finance  meetings and discussions with company managers.

Venture Capital Internship: 
Intern at a venture capital firm focused on investing and providing business and financial support on seed stage company. This company works under the motto “Entrepreneur First” and values its core relationships with clients and seeks reciprocal development between entrepreneurs. Duties may include researching market trends, taking meeting minutes and supporting clients, and continuous critical thinking. 

Advisory Firm Internship: 
Intern at a full-service M&A advisory firm focused on providing first-class services to assist our clients in realizing strategic growth and long-term value creation. Duties may include conducting market/company research, preparing marketing materials, and working on financial models.
