Build Your Own Internship: Location of Your Choice

Not seeing an internship for you below? If you have a very specific internship placement in mind or are looking through our program list and not seeing your location of choice, you still have options! You can “Build Your Own Internship,” where you research and secure your own internship while working with the GEO office to receive relevant academic credit. Students are responsible for finding this internship, housing, and travel arrangements independently, which is what differs from the existing internship placement programs that GEO offers. All students will be charged in-state tuition for this program and receive a guaranteed $250-$1000 scholarship.

Intern with a creative agency designing social media and email marketing content to engage followers.

Branding Internship:
Das Branding provides effective solutions for different brands, building the right link for its "target audience". They analyze the market, develop the appropriate positioning and communicate it through a differentiated and innovative visual identity. They integrate their brand with everything that their company represents: new products, services, printed matter, packaging, corporate environments, points of sale, and their digital presence online.

Graphic Design Internship:
OneLove is a marketing firm which offers everything from web and graphic design, to marketing campaigns, to video making, to help with SEO, to social media management, and more. The work environment at OneLove is really relaxed as their office is located in a renovated old house and the team is a group of young/trendy professionals with an artistic flair.

Landscape Architecture Internship:
Intern with experiential graphic design at a landscape architecture firm designing social media and email marketing content to engage followers.

Design Internship:
Work at a marketing firm designing and creating artwork for social media content and managing online communities.

Mumbai, India with CRCC Asia

Start-Up Internship:
Intern at a start-up making it easy and possible for Business Owners to restructure, standardize and automate their Business Processes to make their Enterprise process driven, thus enabling optimization and growth. Duties may include Design Thinking, Branding, UX&UI.

Osaka, Japan with CRCC Asia

Design Startup Internship:
Intern with a UI/UX/XR design startup company that builds creative solutions using the latest digital trends. The company is developing immersive experiences for the wellness of people.

Prague, Czech Republic with World Endeavors

Web and Graphic Design Internship:
Interns work with creative professionals in design firms, marketing agencies, or the design departments of larger companies to create marketing materials, web pages, logos, and other visuals for corporate clients.

Graphic Design Internship:
Placements are available with PR, advertising companies, and graphic design studios.

Graphic Design and Marketing for Sustainable Fashion Marketplace: Experience the excitement of a startup with an international e-commerce marketplace for eco-friendly, sustainable fashion. Design graphics, create banners and update the design of the e-shop, generate content and publish posts for social media channels, website, newsletters and blog, and conduct research and outreach to potential sustainable brands to add to the global e-commerce marketplace.

Quito, Ecuador with Universidad San Francisco de Quito

Graphic Design Internship:
Intern at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Work would include: the creation of content from the perspective of a foreign student looking for options in Ecuador; design of the strategy, graphic image and media for the campaign; and design and elaboration of the different pieces and graphic art. Students should speak Spanish and be familiar with Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator.

Intern at a creative design studio focusing on graphic communications and visual branding. Duties may include providing support on various client projects including Visual Branding, Advertising, Print, Web Design, Motion Graphics, Mobile App UX/UI, and Packaging Graphics.

Design Internship:
Intern at a boutique art direction and design studio in Tokyo that specializes in animation and motion graphics. The company has an international team that directs and produces pieces for clients across the world. Duties may include drafting drawings and motion graphics, learning 3D software, and research.ââââ
