Build Your Own Internship: Location of Your Choice
Not seeing an internship for you below? If you have a very specific internship placement in mind or are looking through our program list and not seeing your location of choice, you still have options! You can “Build Your Own Internship,” where you research and secure your own internship while working with the GEO office to receive relevant academic credit. Students are responsible for finding this internship, housing, and travel arrangements independently, which is what differs from the existing internship placement programs that GEO offers. All students will be charged in-state tuition for this program and receive a guaranteed $250-$1000 scholarship.

Event Planning Company Internship:
Intern with an event planning company which may cater to clients in this space.
Buenos Aires, Argentina with Road2Argentina
Music Platform Internship:
Brandtrack is the most high-tech background music platform for commercial spaces and used by big firms such as KFC, Four Seasons or Pepe Jeans. Their powerful algorithm tracks consumer patterns and allows business chains to develop a unique, yet unified brand identity through its music. Through their app, client businesses can access smart playlists offline, insert promotional voiceovers, and monitor unexpected changes in in-store music through one control panel.
Film Production Audio Internship:
Raro Films is a film production company composed of film, fashion and art directors, as well as audiovisual artists, dedicated to produce commercials, video clips, web contents, short and feature films for a variety of customers.
Dublin, Ireland with World Endeavors
Performing Arts Business Management
Performing arts school running classes for boys and girls of all ages and abilities. Interns assist with data entry, processing payments, managing social media accounts, preparing the costumes for upcoming productions and generally assisting with all the day-to-day running of the school including liaising with parents and students.
Florence, Italy with World Endeavors
Music School Internship:
Music school that provides hands-on training for those pursuing studio and live music careers. Interns assist with the live show/music production branch of the school where they assist with audio and light setup for live shows, and support music production work in the studio.
Visual Arts Internship:
Studio that organizes collective and solo shows in various cities worldwide including Paris, London, Monaco, Tokyo, Venice and Miami. Interns organize exhibitions and work with collective and solo shows.
London, UK with Anglo Education Services
Music Based Internship:
A music based internship with a regional, touring & college press for labels big and small, working across numerous genres from rock to pop, indie to dance and country to AOR. The intern can expect to get involved with creating press reports, editing press releases, transcribing interviews and interviewing artists; as well as assisting with any marketing material they need.
Music and Entertainment Internship:
A music and entertainment internship with a small music venue in central London. The intern can expect to get involved with run up and planning of live gigs, as well as assisting on the night, developing marketing campaigns and assisting with the booking of artists and head hunting.
Osaka, Japan with CRCC ASIA
Internship with a Production Music/Stock Music Library Company:
Intern at Ligar Music, a production music/stock music library company. We provide music licenses for professionals in the broadcasting/advertising industry. The organization owns Ligar Music Library, a self-made original music library, and has the role of the exclusive agency in Japan of Epidemic Sound, the world's biggest royalty free music company. Duties could include assisting with online market expansion goals. It also could involve researching online behavior of competitors and developing a plan to improve web marketing of this company.
Paris, France with World Endeavors
Public Relations Internship in Performing Arts:
Theater that promotes live entertainment to young spectators and their families through a multidisciplinary program combining dance, theater, puppetry, music, visual arts and digital arts. Interns assist the public relations manager with their daily tasks, including managing bookings, scheduling meetings, presenting shows, writing pedagogic files, contacting schools, sending brochures, and assisting in preparing the next season’s events.

Performing Arts Internship:
Performing Arts interns may assist actors, stage managers, directors, stage crew, front of house staff or back-office management with the preparation, management, and promotion of drama, music, or dance productions. Placements are available with film production companies, focusing on music videos and entertainment media.
Sydney, Australia with World Endeavors
Arts and Entertainment Management Internship:
Company that provides various streams of services within the arts and entertainment industry, including rehearsal spaces, art studios and recording studios. Art community members that work with the company range from fashion labels, designers, recording artists, visual artists, actors and photographers. Interns assist with admin and bookings of local and major artists, marketing and promotions, and assisting during various events and festivals.
Media/Film Internship:
Media/film internship with a radio station. Responsibilities include digital content production and publishing, filming concerts both internal and external, corporate film content for the station, and online social media short clips.
