Build Your Own Internship: Location of Your Choice
Not seeing an internship for you below? If you have a very specific internship placement in mind or are looking through our program list and not seeing your location of choice, you still have options! You can “Build Your Own Internship,” where you research and secure your own internship while working with the GEO office to receive relevant academic credit. Students are responsible for finding this internship, housing, and travel arrangements independently, which is what differs from the existing internship placement programs that GEO offers. All students will be charged in-state tuition for this program and receive a guaranteed $250-$1000 scholarship.

Bangkok, Thailand with World Endeavors
Web and Graphic Design Internship:
Web and Graphic Design interns work with creative professionals in design firms, marketing agencies, or design departments of larger companies to create marketing materials, web pages, logos, and other visuals for corporate clients.
Placements are available with app developers, PC maintenance and service companies, web design providers, and automation companies.
UI/UX Internship with Tech Company:
Join an exciting PaaS provider that creates online booking systems for travel companies, working with the tech department and UX teams to create new and attractive features for clients.
Berlin, Germany with CIEE
Web Design and Programming Internship:
Interns will support web designs and programming (front end and back end development) at a software development company.
AI Internship:
Intern at an IT firm that supports technical support for an AI platform.
Buenos Aires, Argentina with Road2Argentina
Software and IT Internship:
Snoop Consulting is a company that develops, operates, and advises on software and IT services with a focus on simplifying its clients' access to emerging technologies. They offer technological services aimed at increasing the productivity of their clients and guaranteeing them investment in technology.
Marketing Internship:
OneLove is a marketing firm which offers everything from web and graphic design, to marketing campaigns, to video making, to helping with SEO, to social media management, and more. The work environment at OneLove is really relaxed as their office is located in a renovated old house and the team is a group of young/trendy professionals with an artistic flair.
Cape Town, South Africa with CIEE
Tech Internship:
Intern at a startup tech company supporting web development, analyzing internal data, and creating dashboards. Interns will also teach computer classes to high school learners (either basic computers or coding).
Dublin, Ireland with World Endeavors
IT Internship:
Information technology internship with an award-winning marketing firm in Dublin. Interns assist with the company’s business and systems development functions.
London, UK with Anglo Education Services
App Design and Development Internship:
This is an app design and development internship with a primarily football focused company. They have launched an app that brings the latest news and conversation to their users. Interns can expect to get involved with coding and Javascript, as well as creating their own app, before making changes to the company's app and creating web pages for them.
Website Development Internship:
A website development internship with a digital-first hotel marketing agency. Interns can expect to get involved with learning and practicing languages such as HTML, CSS and Javascript, designing widgets and creating a booking engine i.e. retrieving data, displaying data and adding filters to the engine.

Creative AI Development Internship:
Intern at a creative AI development company that provides AI related system development and consulting services. They focus on automatic generation of data, for example; AI learns common features of human faces and it will be able to generate an unlimited number of realistic images of human faces. You can experience not only development of a generative AI but also team development, problem solving and technology related to image processing. Your work would include helping other companies develop AI technologies that will help solve business problems, as well as developing demo applications.
Marketing Internship:
Intern at a marketing agency providing services for the gaming, hospitality, and entertainment industries. Duties may include supporting a web development team focusing on full stack development.

Now more than just a means to chat and post, this company is providing a physical penpal service to users who want to share lifestyle, interests and culture.

Technology Internship:
Intern at a company providing technology behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. This company and its associated applications are revolutionizing the way we think about money, information, and the relationships we have with each other. Its blockchain application server makes it easier, faster, and less expensive to build business applications on the blockchain than ever before. Duties include upgrading their application look and feel to Material Design, as well as designing and implementing HTML email templates.
E-Commerce Internship:
Intern at an e-commerce business based in Tokyo, Japan. Established in 2009 as an IT and software company, it has since expanded the business with a successful presence selling goods on various platforms directly to consumers in the USA and Japan. Duties may include maintaining and developing the IoS/Android APP and website.
