President's Global Leadership Seminar in Spain

Global leadership is the ability to connect with people from different cultures and form relationships that allow the creation of mutually beneficial enterprises which contribute to the advancement of worthy social, environmental and economic goals.  Global leaders operate in our modern pluralistic, and increasingly boundary-less world, but the forces of globalization have been at work for centuries. Spain is an ideal location to discover these long standing tendencies, and there is no better guide than Mason President Dr. Angel Cabrera, a native of the European capital Madrid.

This course will explore the creation of social value through field visits to European corporate, non-profit and intergovernmental organizations working to build economic opportunity and launch social impact initiatives across the region. In addition to visiting leading Spanish institutions, Mason students will also connect with local Spanish college students, and some of their leading professors, through our collaboration with Carlos III University.
