Call for Proposals

The Global Education Office (GEO) invites all faculty across the university to submit a proposal for a Customized Program, which allows students to travel abroad with Mason faculty over University holidays and earn Mason credit.
GEO is now accepting customized proposals for courses held in Spring, Summer, Fall 2024 and Winter Break 2025. Each proposal must include a syllabus; describe student learning objectives, projects; and outline the marketing and recruiting plan.  The proposal must also illustrate how students would benefit and how an international component would enhance student learning, and support the Mason Vision. Proposals will not be reviewed until May 2023.

We encourage faculty to speak with their department heads and deans to discuss additional program support at the college level.
For the formal proposal guidelines, or if you have any questions, please contact Marie alice Arnold, Associate Director, Global Education Office, at

We welcome all those interested to submit a proposal. We look forward to working together on this tremendous opportunity for both faculty and students alike.
