Int'l Horizons HC Scholarship

The International Horizons Honors College Scholarship

The Honors College is thrilled to announce its first-ever scholarship to support study abroad for Honors College students.

Made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous Honors College alumna who believes that finances should not stand in the way of a meaningful global experience, this award may be spent on study abroad expenses such as tuition, travel, and/or lodging costs.
The scholarship recipient will receive up to $2000 for a semester/yearlong global experience.

  • Be a full-time George Mason University Honors College undergraduate student
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by Mason's Office of Financial Aid
  • Be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Participating in a semester or yearlong study abroad program

Selection Process & Timeline

Recipients will be selected by a five-person committee based on the applicant’s financial need and the quality of their scholarship application responses. All applications must be submitted by the deadline. Any subsequent submissions will not be considered. Students will be notified by early December whether or not they have been selected.
