Mason Abroad System Specialist

Tyler attended George Mason University for his Masters Degree in Anthropology. During his time at Mason he also studied abroad at Akita International University where he studied Japanese for a summer semester. He became interested in Japanese culture through his appreciation of anime, manga, and games. During 2019, he participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program where he taught English in Kyoto, Japan for 2 years. From living abroad, he grew an appreciation for cultural communication and enjoyed spending time with the community helping them explore other cultures.
