Customized Programs Administrator

Boris Escalona Berbetty currently serves as a Customized Programs Administrator at the Global Education Office.  He is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and East Carolina University with a Master of Science in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality.  Boris has been in higher education for more than 17 years and has worked in various academic and student affairs areas in universities, such as Florida International University, University of Central Florida, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, East Carolina University, and James Madison University.  Prior to joining the GEO team, he served as a Financial and Operations Manager for the Center for Global Engagement in the Study Abroad department at James Madison University.  In addition, he has been able to travel and study abroad in Japan, China, South Korea, Canada, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.  He is passionate about working with students, faculty, and other university stakeholders as he continues his doctoral degree at George Mason University in International Education and Research Methodology.
