Liz Adema is a Registration Specialist at the Global Education Office.
She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from American University. While at American, Liz spent a year in Nairobi, Kenya studying at the United States International University – Africa (USIU-Africa) and interning with the non-governmental organization Sarakasi Trust. After graduation she moved to Suwon, South Korea to teach English at a private kindergarten, then spent two years with the Peace Corps in Botswana. Upon completion of her Peace Corps service she travelled for five weeks through southern and eastern Africa. She returned to Washington D.C. and American University to pursue her Masters in International Training and Education. While at American she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the study abroad office: AU Abroad. She is passionate about study abroad and the impact it can have on students’ education and lives.
